BIO-SUSHY Project Partners Engage in 4th Workshop on Safe and Sustainable Design

Partners of the BIO-SUSHY project participated in the 4th Workshop on Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) held on December 6th and 7th. This crucial two-day event, hosted by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in alignment with the European Commission, brought together experts and stakeholders to discuss and refine SSbD guidelines.

Our project is dedicated to innovative coating solutions, and we found immense value in attending the workshop. As we are focused on implementing the SSbD framework in our coating development processes, project partners (Materia Nova, 7P9, and AcumenIST) were eager to stay updated and aligned with the latest guidelines provided by the JRC.

Key sessions during the workshop included updates on the SSbD framework testing period, insights into member state initiatives promoting SSbD, and in-depth discussions on case studies, data generation, and evaluation methodologies.

The collaborative engagement in breakout sessions allowed BIO-SUSHY partners to actively contribute to defining guidance needs and gaining valuable insights into implementation practices. The workshop’s comprehensive agenda provided a well-rounded understanding of SSbD principles, contributing significantly to the BIO-SUSHY project’s mission.
