QSAR in Action: ProtoQSAR’s Role in BIO-SUSHY

How can predictive modelling help address data gaps in safety assessment?

Within BIO-SUSHY, ProtoQSAR contributes computational data to support the project’s Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) assessment.

The team combines data-mining techniques to identify and compile available experimental information with proprietary QSAR models to generate predicted values. This information is then provided to the partners responsible for the SSbD assessment, helping to address data gaps and strengthen the evidence available for the evaluations performed within the project.

By bringing together existing experimental data and computational predictions, ProtoQSAR contributes to building a more robust evidence base for assessing the safety of materials and substances investigated within BIO-SUSHY.

Want to learn more about how QSAR models work in practice? Stay tuned for the upcoming final BIO-SUSHY technical training, where ProtoQSAR will introduce the application of QSAR predictive models in toxicology and take participants from the fundamentals to hands-on application.
