BIO-SUSHY at European Technical Coatings Congress 2024
Our project coordinator, MATERIA NOVA, recently represented the BIO-SUSHY project at the European Technical Coatings Congress (ETCC) 2024. The event took place from September 23 to 25 at the historic Palace of the Popes in Avignon, France.
The congress featured three parallel sessions, attracting 250 attendees from various sectors of the coatings industry. Our BIO-SUSHY presentation, “Safe and Sustainable by Design Replacement of PFAS in Water and Oil-Repellent Glass-Like Hybrid Coatings,” was part of the SUSTAINABILITY session. We were delighted to see an engaged audience of 50-70 participants attending our session, showing significant interest in our innovative approach to replacing PFAS in coatings.
The presentation highlighted the project’s commitment to developing safe and sustainable alternatives to PFAS. Our glass-like hybrid coatings aim to provide the same level of water and oil repellency without the adverse effects associated with traditional PFAS-based solutions.
We extend our gratitude to the organizers of ETCC 2024 for providing a platform to share our advancements and to all attendees for their enthusiastic participation. We look forward to continuing our work towards a more sustainable future in the coatings industry.
