Policy Workshop Proceedings on SSbD with SURFBIO Project
The BIO-SUSHY project made a significant impact at the recent Policy Workshop hosted by SURFBIO in close collaboration with AXIA Innovation. This event provided a platform for leading EU experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to converge and discuss critical aspects related to standardization, intellectual property (IP), and Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) methodologies.
One of the workshop’s highlights was the joint presentation by our partners, ITENE and Materia Nova, who introduced the audience to the “BIO-SUSHY Safe and Sustainable by Design Framework for PFAS-free Coatings.” This presentation highlighted our innovative approach to developing coatings free from per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) while ensuring the utmost safety and sustainability throughout the design process.
